I'm Schizophrenic, Says 'Fake' Interpreter

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO [CC] - I'm schizophrenic, says 'fake' interpreter - DeafSA says, it really is a huge insult to Deaf community.

JOHANNESBURG - The Madiba memorial interpreter - who has been dubbed a “fake and a fraud” - is receiving treatment for schizophrenia.

Thami Jantjie, the fake interpreter, said in an interview with Talk Radio 702 he is currently receiving treatment for this disorder.

Jantjie also questioned why nobody picked up at the time that he wasn't interpreting properly.

"Remember, you are talking about an interpreter who has been interpreting through these years. If I was wrong why should it become an issue now?” he asked.

Jantjie said he is sad because he believes the issue could have been dealt with early if DeafSA had picked up his way of interpreting.

Interpreter refuses to sign for CNN. Thamsanqa Jantjie, the sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela's memorial, defends his "translation" at the event.

Thami Jantjie, the infamous sign language interpreter at the Mandela memorial service on Monday, says he suffers from schizophrenia.

"It should have been put in clarity a long time ago,” he said. "What I have been doing, I think I have been a champion of sign language.”

He said that he doesn't want to discuss his condition as it will harm his children. Jantjie added that he is a senior interpreter with SA Interpreters.

The sign language interpreter who sparked outrage within the Deaf community says he may have suffered a kind of "schizophrenic" attack during the Mandela memorial and apologises for any offence caused.

If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.

The words of former president Nelson Mandela. But at his memorial service on Tuesday, the Deaf community was short-changed by an apparently unqualified sign language interpreter.

Event organisers are now passing the buck as to who was responsible for hiring him. ... Read more: http://www.enca.com/south-africa/fake-interpreter-speaks-accusations

Gallaudet Boot Man For Seeking Underage Girls

EXCLUSIVE: Gallaudet University boot man seeking 100 underage girls sex distributed door-to-door for marriage and sex.

Gallaudet University has removed from campus a man seeking 100 underage girls to marry and to make his concubines, officials said.

The hearing man was last seen Sunday going door-to-door in University Park, distributing leaflets that also espoused racist views. Police chased him out of the town near University of Maryland, saying he needed a permit to distribute the flier.

It appears the same man has visited Gallaudet, the D.C. school for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing in Northeast Washington, D.C.

“Last week, a man carrying the same letter was seen on the Gallaudet University campus and was subsequently asked to leave and prohibited from returning,” said Theodore Baran, Director of Gallaudet University Department of Public Safety, in a released statement.

The man has no known connection to the university, he said.

The man, who is from Grand Rapids, Mich., has claimed to be Deaf and used index cards to communicate with town police and residents in University Park. One witness described him as “a gentlemen with a terrible message.” His identity has not been released because he has not been charged with a crime. ... Huge Increase in 'Disabled' Scam in Europe

VIDEO: Be sure you know for whom you donating money. There's a new trend here, gypsies asking for money in the streets for disabled people.

BERLIN, Germany - Tourists are targeted by scam and rip-off artists everywhere in Europe. We were actually prepared for gypsies/scammers.

The old adage is a good one to remember when in Berlin and dealing with some of the shadier people that prey on tourists.

The gypsies people approached with petitions, claiming it was for the handicapped. At first it seemed nothing of interest, but now there are many of them, some even caught multiple times or there are multiple arrests during one day.

Here's how they work. They printed a blank on which people can sign and donate money for disabled people.

The funny thing is, text is translated with Google Translate from one language to lithuanian with errors, text above would read this:

Certificate region network - Deaf and physically inferior - For poor and children - We want international center make (make construction equipment)

But people still donate money. Also, they written some signs and how much someone "donated"

So people would give relatively as much as in the blank. They would run away from cameras and are not from this country. So, when luck will ran out here, I guarantee they will head north to Scandinavia and to the west.

So, how to recognize one? Gibberish Google Translated text, fear of cameras and not knowing native language. They could not explain this "donation" thing in more detail. So, from good will don't be robbed in the middle of the day. ... Read more: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=62b_1379069998
